Parts of Tshwane set to face nine-hour water supply interruption

The City of Tshwane has announced planned maintenance that will result in water supply interruption on Monday, 3 March.

The Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant shutdown in the City of Tshwane will cause a nine-hour supply interruption on Monday, 3 March.

The maintenance is due to the installation of a new valve on the Ekandustria Reservoir system, and the maintenance is estimated to last eight hours, from 8:00 to 17:00.

CITY OF TSHWANE ANNOUNCES WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION

The City of Tshwane said it will closely monitor the maintenance and roaming water tankers will be arranged to supply affected residents with water. The following areas in region 7 will be affected:

  • Bronkhorstspruit Town
  • Ekandustria
  • Ekangala
  • Rethabiseng
  • Riamapark
  • Zithobeni
  • Thembisile Hani Local Municipality (cross-border water supply)

“The City of Tshwane apologises profusely for the delay in water supply restoration to the mentioned areas,” the metro municipality said.
