Showmax is dishing out three brand-new South African romcoms this Valentine’s Day, all guaranteed to warm your heart.

SHOWMAX FILM: NOT MY TYPE (STREAMING FROM 14 FEBRUARY)

Meet Letsatsi, a church baddie who’s been designing wedding dresses while waiting for Mr. Right to appear, according to TV Mzansi.

But when her younger sister gets a marriage proposal, Letsatsi starts to panic.

Her perfectly planned life isn’t going as expected, and she’s starting to wonder if God has forgotten about her.

Starring Lorraine Moropa, Lulama Nyembezi, and Moagi Kai, Not My Type is a hilarious and relatable story about love, faith, and finding your path.

“This film is a celebration of South African talent and storytelling,” says director Siyabonga Mkhize.

SHOWMAX: SOOS PYNAPPEL OP PIZZA (STREAMING FROM 14 FEBRUARY)

Waldo and Becca are chefs who can’t stand each other. But when they end up at a singles retreat in the mountains, fate throws them together in one crazy situation after another.

Starring Schalk Bezuidenhout and Kate Pinchuck, Soos Pynappel Op Pizza is a quirky and hilarious rom-com about finding love in the most unexpected places, according to Actor Spaces.

“We wanted to create a film that was both funny and heartwarming,” says writer and director Morné Strydom.

SHOWMAX: GEBOKSTE LIEFDE (STREAMING FROM 7 FEBRUARY)

Suma-Lee is a divorced single mum who’s just been fired from her job as a fashion designer, according to Showmax Stories.

Reluctantly, she joins a boxing gym, where she finally finds the courage to stand up for herself and fight for what she wants: love.

Starring Tarryn Wyngaard and Jandré le Roux, Gebokste Liefde is an inspiring and feel-good romcom about second chances and finding your inner strength.
