Nasreddine Nabi set for possible shock Kaizer Chiefs exit already?

Kaizer Chiefs have only begun their process under Nasreddine Nabi but could he already be set to ditch them for an African giant?

Kaizer Chiefs appointed new coach Nasreddine Nabi at the start of the season, in an effort to change their fortunes.

Chiefs had finished a lowly 10th last season, which also coincided with their lowest league finish in their history.

Nabi was supposed to bring the glory days at Chiefs

The appointment of Nabi was supposed to be the beginning of a new era for the club. The Tunisian mentor is believed to be the man to lead Chiefs back into their glory days era. The fact that the club had two separate negotiations for him and ended up going back to pay compensation says a lot. He was first primed to join the club at the beginning of last season before negotiations hit a snag.

Those negotiations reportedly fell through after Chiefs refused to let him bring in all of staff members he wanted. It is thought the Nabi was asked to keep former coach Arthur Zwane as one of his assistants. A year later Amakhosi’s top brass traveled to Morocco to negotiate with his former side AS FAR. After agreeing to pay his compensation, the coach agreed to finally join the club.

Since coming in, there had been renewed optimism at Chiefs. Early results as well as signings looked to be on the positive side. But things have since slowed down immensely as the Glamour Boys find themselves in ninth on the log. Furthermore, they’re struggling to both score and stop conceding goals at the back. Some sections of the fanbase have also started to question the capabilities of Nabi.

Now according SuperSport journalist Karabo Phasha, Nabi is one of the candidates earmarked by Raja Casablanca. This in the case of them firing their current coach Ricardo Pinto gets fired. The first choice is reportedly former coach and ex-Orlando Pirates mentor Josef Zinnbauer!
