Orlando Pirates can’t seem to lose (in the PSL).

Seven wins in seven games has the Sea Robbers three points adrift at the top of the table – making their success sweeter is Kaizer Chiefs continuing downfall, who sit fourteen points behind.

Words of advice

In a bid to offer some veteran advice, former Orlando Pirates winger Thabo Rakhale has singled out Relehobile Mofokeng, Mohau Nkota and Thabiso Sesane, saying, “To Rele, Nkota and Thabiso Sesane, my advice is they should stay humble, strive to be better than yesterday and always keep their feet on the ground,

“It’s so nice to see the young ones in a big team doing the most like they do. Already, they have shown the bravery side of them.

“I don’t see anything stopping them from reaching higher. They are doing well; the future looks bright for the team.”

Orlando Pirates future unclear

Orlando Pirates may be soaring to new heights, but that momentum could diminish come the end of the season.

Jose Riveiro, who has won five major trophies since taking over in 2022, is rumoured to leave once the season concludes as he looks to rekindle with his family.

“There is an offer for the coach to continue for another three years, but he has asked to wait until the end of the season. His main wish is to win the league, and if that happens, he may leave because he misses home,” an anonymous source explained.

“The league title may decide the coach’s future. That’s what’s believed as things stand.”

“Nothing has been agreed upon because the coach hasn’t made up his mind. He has made it clear that he misses home and family. And will only consider his future at the end of the season. However, the club has already opened talks with his representatives, hoping for the best outcome.”
