Kaizer Chiefs legend calls for Ntwari to be dropped!

Kaizer Chiefs have been found wanting at the back with Ntwari conceding 11 goals in seven matches across all competitions.

Kaizer Chiefs legend William Shongwe has appealed to the technical team to drop Fiacre Ntwari for Bruce Bvuma.

Shongwe feels Ntwari is no longer the same goalkeeper he was whilst at TS Galaxy, and doesn’t play like an international.

Ntwari is Rwanda’s No.1 but he has faced huge criticism since his arrival at Chiefs at the start of the season.

With one cleansheet to his name, and 11 goals conceded in just seven matches, Shongwe wants Chiefs to bring Bvuma back.

Furthermore, Shongwe reiterated that an international player should always be better than local players when signed.

However, he doesn’t think Ntwari fits the category in the matches he has played for Chiefs so far.

“Chiefs must just bring back Bvuma in goal. He’s the one who will help him in this crisis of conceding goals,” Shongwe told Isolezwe.

“I don’t know what makes Ntwari drop the standard this much. He was doing well at TS Galaxy but now he’s not playing like a national team goalkeeper,” he continued.

“If you are a foreign international, then you must have real talent. The problem with Ntwari is that he’s similar to our local goalkeepers.

“We worked hard during our time. It was the same even with people like Eshele Botende who hailed from the DRC,” added Shongwe.
