Kaizer Chiefs new head coach Nasreddine Nabi has decided on the players who he does not plan to use this season.

Kaizer Chiefs are yet to release any players under their new coach.

However, this is about to change with Chiefs first exit under Nabi imminent. Meanwhile, following his first team assessment of Amakhosi, he has decided which players to release.

LIST OF CHIEFS PLAYERS NOT IN NABI’S PLANS

  • Itumeleng Khune
  • Aden McCarthy
  • Edmilson Dove
  • Christian Saille

Itumeleng Khune is running out of time with a career-defining about to be made by the Amakhosi legend.

So, Khune must choose whether to leave Chiefs to join PSL rivals or to remain at the club at the cost of his playing career. Moreover, the new management have dittoed the clubs stance – they do not plan to use Khune as a player this season.

Furthermore, McCarthy is one of several Chiefs players set to be loaned out.

Dove is the latest Amakhosi player facing a likely exit.

“He went to Turkey for the off-season (camp) where he got injured. That (injury) will be the stumbling block but they are working on his way out. They are planning on releasing him (Dove) permanently this season even before his new contract ends in June next year,” the insider stated SoccerLaduma.

Finally, following Nabi’s first team assessment, it was revealed that Nabi has no plans for forward, Saille.

REPLACEMENTS JOIN AMAKHOSI, MORE TO FOLLOW

Fiacre Nwari is Chiefs’ newest keeper. Interestingly, he signed shortly after Khune’s contract as a Chiefs player expired.

Additionally, Amakhosi have signed Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel at the back. McCarthy was recently promoted from Chiefs’ DDC side but as things stand he is not a part of Nabi’s immediate plans.

Meanwhile, one of Chiefs foreign players will have to leave Naturena. This is because the club has six registered foreign players and the PSL foreign player policy only permits five per team.

Meaning, one of these Chiefs players will have to leave the club. As things stand, Dove is the man likely to go. Finally, Chiefs have made it clear that they intend to sign attackers. Meaning, Saile will likely be sold permanently (if he is not loaned out) to make way for one of their new attackers.

WHICH OF THESE CHIEFS PLAYERS SHOULD BE SOLD PERMANENTLY AND WHO SHOULD BE LOANED OUT?
