Will Pirates finally sign influential Namibian left back Hanamub

Orlando Pirates could renew their interest in Namibia and AmaZulu left back Rian Hanamub.
Despite conceding a penalty against Bafana Bafana on Sunday, Hanamub had a solid game for the Brave Warriors in their second African Cup of Nations.

Usuthu have previously stated that their defender was not for sale however after a good showing, clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns, Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs might come knocking with huge sums of money.
Pirates to renew Hanamub interest?

The Namibian defender expressed his desire to play for a bigger club last year.
“It’s every player’s dream to play for one of the biggest clubs in the country,” Hanamub told iDiski Times when asked about the links to Pirates.

“But if it doesn’t happen, AmaZulu is also a big brand and I’m really happy to be here and I’m always willing to give my best.”
After the Afcon games, it remains to be seen if Hanamub would still be playing for AmaZulu given the form he is currently showing.
“I don’t know [if] I should indulge in that because it’s not my space,” he said when asked about his potential move to Pirates.

“I’m here now and I’m fully committed to the team, and to keep working hard. You never know what God’s plans are and I always trust in God’s plans.
“I don’t want to put myself in situations where I would lose my focus,” Hanamub said last year.
