Cavin Johnson invited Donny Jansen to train with the first team.
Furthermore, this is his third opportunity to train with the senior side. Meaning, there is a high possibility of him earning promotion. Therefore, Jansen could become Amakhosi’s second signing after Mfundo Vilakazi was promoted.

JANSEN POISED TO BECOME CHIEFS SECOND SIGNING
Johnson is holding firm on his stance to not sign players from outside of the club.
His first signing, Vilakazi was a DDC academy product.

Moreover, cousin of Amakhosi legend, Bernard Parker, Jansen is also an academy product. Having been invited to train with the first team at the start of the season and again last season, Jansen will be hoping that third times the charm and it very well could be.
“We are starting with a new cycle of players and trying to blend them in, with Obrigado (Vilakazi) and Donay taken in by the first team,” Chiefs DDC coach Vela Khumalo stated on Phakaaati.

DDC ROUTES LAY RICH IN NATURENA’S GRASS
The DDC side has provided several of Amakhosi’s recent players.
The likes of Lungile Nkosi, Bontle Molefi, Aden McCarthy, Sabelo Radebe, Vicky Mkhawana, Samkelo Zwane, Omega Mdaka and Wandile Duba were all recently promoted into the first team. Several of these players are yet to make their senior debuts for Amakhosi. However, Zwane and Radebe quickly became fan-favorites and the likes of Molefe and Nkosi have been tipped to take over from Amakhosi legend, Itumeleng Khune.
