If you would like to work in Germany but need to obtain a work visa through employment, here is a list of 20 occupations that are in demand.

WORK IN GERMANY

Many people would like to relocate to Germany but without a job offer for a sponsored work visa, this is not possible. 

The country is a favoured destination for skilled workers and anyone wanting to live and work in a safe environment with good public services.

EASED IMMIGRATION RULES

Germany has been making amendments to its immigration rules to ease red tape for workers from countries outside of the European Union.   

However, the labour market there is still short of personnel for specific fields.

This means that foreign workers with education or experience have opportunities in the European country.

  1. Pipeline construction
  2. Plant, container and apparatus construction
  3. Monitoring and maintenance of railway infrastructure
  4. Freight forwarding and logistics
  5. Drivers for earthmoving and related machinery
  6. Sales (furniture, fittings)
  7. Sales
  8. System catering
  9. Pharmaceutical technical assistants
  10. Bus and tram drivers

WORK VISAS

To work in Germany, non-German citizens may need a visa.

However, nationals of any of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the European Free Trade Association can work in Germany without a visa.

Foreigners and nationals from countries outside of Europe who wish to be employed in Germany can benefit from these labour shortages.
