WATCH: Springbok stars team up with flashy Mercedes
Springbok duo Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi will be the envy of many after it was confirmed they have become partners with Mercedes.
This week it was confirmed by Mercedes-AMG that they had teamed up with the two Springbok rugby stars as a new “Friend of the Brand”.
As part of the ambassadorship with Mercedes-Benz South Africa, the Springbok World Cup-winning stars will apparently each drive a brand new C43 4Matic AMG for the next year, in addition to their other responsibilities.

Am will work closely with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, while Mapimpi will be an ambassador for the Mercedes-Benz Cars division.
Both backline stars are frontline players for the Sharks and Springboks, while they are also great friends off the pitch.

Mapimpi and Am expressed their excitement about the announcement
“This relationship is a big deal to me because Mercedes-Benz has been a well-known brand since I was growing up,” Am stated. “It’s always been a big deal where I’m from, and it’s special, as everyone aspired to drive and own a Mercedes-Benz.”

Mapimpi also said that the partnership was a dream come true.
“I have always wanted to work with Mercedes-Benz since I played for the Border Bulldogs,” the popular wing added. “For me, it was my motivation to even stay on the team as there was talk at some stage of Mercedes-Benz being a sponsor. I never thought I would work with a brand as big as Mercedes.”
