2022 is an exciting year for the entertainment industry as old favourites and new television series are set to hit our screens. Take a look at the five most-anticipated television series of 2022.
HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED SERIES OF 2022
1. ‘BRIDGERTON’ SEASON TWO
Netflix’s period drama Bridgerton will officially return this year. Production for the highly-anticipated television series was halted in 2021 after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19. Fans were also left on the edge of their seats after Regé-Jean Page hinted at a Bridgerton cameo. Jean Page had previously confirmed that he would not be returning to the series.
The series will officially hit Netflix on Friday 25 March 2022.

3. ‘STRANGER THINGS’ SEASON FOUR
All the kids of Hawkins, Indiana are back for season four of Stranger Things and we are certainly in for a few twists. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has relocated to California with the Byers family (Winona Ryder, Noah Schnapp and Charlie Heaton).
In 2019, Stranger Things creators highlighted that the science fiction series is going to “open up a little bit”. An official release date is yet to be announced for the series.

4. ‘HOW I MET YOUR FATHER’
How I Met Your Father starring Hillary Duff is a romantic comedy show inspired by the popular television series, How I Met Your Mother. Series creator Isaac Aptaker has described the show as a “standalone sequel” of How I Met Your Mother.
“It’s set in the world of the previous show, but it’s really its own thing,” Aptaker told TV Line.
The series is set to premiere on Hulu on Tuesday 18 January.

5. ‘ATLANTA’ SEASON THREE
The third season of the Emmy-nominated series Atlanta is finally returning. The series has been away since 2018 and fans are excited to see what Earn (Donald Glover) and the gang are up to. The series was set to premiere in January 2021 but was delayed due to COVID-19.
The first two episodes of Atlanta season three will premiere on 3 February 2022.
